New Audi TT Will Debut as 2008 Model



It can not get here soon enough.

Auburn Hills, Mich. - Audi of America confirmed on Wednesday that there will be no 2007 model of the Audi TT and that the all-new TT coupe and roadster will arrive in the United States as 2008 models. They will feature the 2.0T turbocharged four - cylinder engine and 3.2 narrow-angle V6 engines and six-speed manual and S tronic transmissions. The automaker said the technological highlights of the TTs will include an aluminum and steel space frame and a "magnetorheological" suspension that automatically adjusts for different ride and handling situations.Audi says its 2007 U.S. lineup will have "an emphasis on sportiness." For example, the 2007 A3 2.0T will now have an S line package that replaces the sport package from 2006. The new S line gets more aggressive front and rear fascias and S line badging on the exterior.The A3 also has a new technology package. The A3 2.0T technology package includes a light and rain sensor, a Bluetooth hands-free phone system, auto-dimming interior mirror and bi-xenon headlights with adaptive front lights; the 3.2 technology package includes Bluetooth and the bi-xenon headlights.The 2007 A4 3.2 gets a standard sunroof, new standard 17-inch 3.2-specific five-spoke wheels from Quattro GmbH and standard shift paddles on the steering wheel on all automatic models. The 2006 A6 Avant now gets an optional S line package. A 19-inch wheel upgrade to the S line package is now optional for A6 quattro models.Audi said it will launch the 450-horsepower 2007 S8 with the 5.2-liter V10 FSI engine this fall. In addition, the Bang & Olufsen advanced audio system will now be available on all A8, W12 and S8 models. The A8L W12 also gets a new option: 20-inch seven-double-spoke wheels.
